#1 Thinking is a human ability. It is a function of human consciousness. We cannot control when we think, but we can control how we think. Thinking comes from the same place as what beats our heart: it comes from being alive.

#2 We as humans are the producers of our own thinking. We are the ones who decide what we think, and what we think determines what we see. We must understand that thought is a function of our consciousness, and not something that happens to us.

#3 We forget, moment to moment, that we are in control of our thoughts, and we often blame our circumstances for our feelings of unhappiness. But it’s our thinking that determines how we feel, not our circumstances.

#4 We are the thinkers of our own thoughts. It is easy to forget that we are the ones creating the noise of our voices, the food that we ingest, and the thoughts that we have. We often interpret our thoughts as if they were reality, when they are simply abilities that we have.
