ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

"The Devotion of Suspect X" by Keigo Higashino, is a complex crime novel exploring themes of love, sacrifice, and deception. When Yasuko and her daughter accidentally kill her abusive ex-husband, their neighbor, Ishigami, a mathematics genius, offers to help cover up the crime. He creates an intricate plan to mislead the police and protect Yasuko, leading detective Kusanagi into a challenging investigation. As the police investigate, Ishigami has to anticipate their moves and cover every possible angle, all while Kusanagi tries to discover what really happened. The novel explores the extent to which one man will go to for another.
