The Way to Be

This is a poetic, illustrated version of the author's philosophy, about a way to be that has been passed along orally and verbally from ancient times to the present. It is a way of being in the world that others have discovered, but eventually must be rediscovered by each person. It must come from within the self and not from some external source. Only by understanding deeply our feelings and sense of harmony can we be in touch with our unconscious and bring it to consciousness. Only when we are true to ourselves can we be true to others. Only when we have transcended the human tendency to follow the herd can we ascend to true individuality. Only when we are bold enough to say no to everything can we say yes to independent and actualized engagement with life. All of us must travel through our own journey to enlightenment, and we usually need help to do it. It is not an easy journey and it takes more discipline than any other journey we may take. This book is an aid to that journey. The book is illustrated by the author's drawings and includes 20 chapters such as "The Death Trauma," "The Authority Principle," "Staying in the Moment," "Going Your Own Way," "Being Your Own God," and many others. It is a book to keep beside your bed and read from each night.
