Youp vond onlangs zijn vijftig jaar oude wigwam, waarin hij - toen hij klein was - zielsgelukkig was. In de zomer stond het indianententje in de tuin, ’s winters op zolder. In de wigwam zat Youp vaak en was gelukkig. Zielsgelukkig zelfs. Beetje afgesloten en volkomen in zijn eigen wereld. En eigenlijk zit hij daar nog steeds. Vanuit zijn wigwam kijkt Youp al jaren naar de wereld en denkt er het zijne van. Daar schrijft hij zijn columns, zijn theaterprogramma’s en verzint hij zijn verhalen.
