يلقي الضوء على سير ثلة من أهل العلم الذين تقلدوا دار الإفتاء المصرية ، وحملوا على عاتقهم عبء الافتاء . وقد أنشأت دار الإفتاء المصرية في 12نوفمبر عام 1895م ، بالأمر الصادر من خديوي مصر عباس حلمي الثاني، وتولى منصب مفتي الديار حتى الآن 20 مفتيا. وتعد الدار من طليعة المؤسسات الإسلامية التي تتحدث بلسان الدين الإسلامي الحنيف وتدعم البحث الفقهي بين المشتغلين به في كل بلدان العالم الإسلامي، وتدعو للوسطية في أقطار العالم بعيدا عن الغلو والتطرف، حيث تقوم بدورها التاريخي والحضاري من خلال ربط المسلمين المعاصرين بأصول دينهم وتوضيح معالم الإسلام وإزالة ما التبس عليهم من أحوال دينهم ودنياهم كاشفةً عن أحكام الإسلام في كل ما استجد على الحياة المعاصرة.
