"انتهت اللعبة يا هيرو"، دراما ساخرة من حالات القهر والظلم والديكتاتورية التي يتعرض لها الإنسان في كل زمان على أرض هذا العالم. والمسرحية يؤدي فيها الرمز دوراً مؤثراً، حيث تدور الأحداث في اليابان، ولكن لماذا اليابان؟ إنه الرمز الذي يرسمه الشاعر الكبير علي الشرقاوي وينسج على أرضه حكاياته الساخرة. إن فكرة المسرحية مأخوذة عن قصة واقعية حدثت فعلاً في اليابان، عن رجل توارى عن الأنظار في جزيرة معزولة طيلة 30 بعد انتهاء الحرب، لكنه غير مصدق أنها انتهت، وقد اكتشف وجوده أحد الشباب، ويحاول الأخير إقناعه بوضع الحرب أوزارها لكنه لم يقتنع، لأن الأوامر لم تصدر من رئيس، ومازال هيرو ينتظر!
