يضم هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه صفحات مبعثرة تتناول بإيجاز ناحية من نواحي حياة الزعيم سعد زغلول الحافلة بجلائل الأعمال ، وهذه الصفحات تتضمن معلومات مختلفة خصل عليها المؤلف ، إما من سعد نفسه أو من أقرب الأشخاص إليه، وقد نشرت في مقالات شتى، إما في مجلتي «العالم» أو في «كل شيء والعالم» بعد اندماجها أو في «المصور». وقد أعاد المؤلف نشر هذا الكتاب أكثر من مرة بعد تنقيحه لتبقى ذكرًا لسعد زغلول. وسعد زغلول (1858م - 1927م) قائد ثورة 1919م في مصر وأحد الزعماء التاريخيين. وأحد الذين طالبوا باستقلال مصر. شغل منصب رئيس وزراء مصر ومنصب رئيس مجلس الأمة وكانت حياته السياسية حافلة بالانجازات والمواقف الوطنية التس يخلد التاريخ ذكرها .
