سفر برلك تعني بالتركية الترحيل الجماعي. قبل مئة عام هجري وتحديدا في العام 1334 هـ الموافق 1915 م ترجل عدد كبير من الجنود الاتراك في المدينة المنورة ، بعد رحلة طويلة مضنية قادمين من اسطنبول ،، كانوا مدججين بالسلاح والفظاظة والأوامر الصارمة . كان اليوم شتاء قاسيا على المدينة وأهلها الآمنين ،، الجنود بطرابيشهم الحمراء والبنادق المدلاه من أيديهم ، تقدموا نحو أزقة المدينة وأحواشها الشهيرة ، كانت الاوامر الصادرة لهم من فخري باشا قائدهم العسكري ، هي القيام بعملية تهجير قسرية وقاسية ومروعة لكل رجل يلاقونه أو إمرأة أو طفل .
