معركة القادسية أحد معارك الفتح الإسلامي لفارس وقعت في 13 شعبان 15 هـ (16-19 نوفمبر 636)، بين المسلمين بقيادة سعد بن أبي وقاص والإمبراطورية الفارسية بقيادة رستم فرخزاد في القادسية، انتهت بانتصار المسلمين ومقتل رستم. وكانت أحد أهم المعارك لفتح العراق. وشهدت المعركة تحالف للإمبراطور الساساني يزدجرد الثالث مع الإمبراطور البيزنطي هرقل الذي زوج حفيدة مانيانغ إلى يزدجرد كرمز للتحالف.
