内容简介： 《论契合——比较文学研究集》是王佐良先生于上世纪40年代后期和80年代前期从事比较文学研究时用英文撰写的11篇论文，1985年由外研社集结出版，是其在比较文学方面的鼎力之作，探讨的中心问题是20世纪中西方文学间的"契合"关系。"契合"二字十分贴切地描述了不同文化间相互影响、相互渗透的关系，这一概念的提出，是对比较文学研究的重大贡献。此书出版后，受到中外学术界的一致欢迎和高度评价，并荣获北京市首届"哲学社会学和政策研究优秀成果荣誉奖"和"比较文学图书荣誉奖"等奖项。 作者简介： 王佐良（1916—1995），学者、诗人、翻译家，浙江上虞人。专于英国文学和中西文学比较研究。曾任北京外国语学院副院长、外国文学研究所所长，《外国文学》主编，国务院学位委员会外国文学评议组组长，全国政协委员，中国莎士比亚学会副会长，中国英语教学研究会会长等职。主要代表作有《英国文学史》、《英国诗史》、《英国散文的流变》、《莎士比亚绪论》等。
