To unravel the mystery, five young employees volunteer for a long dusk-till-dawn shift and encounter horrors that defy imagination. Along the way, author Grady Hendrix infuses sly social commentary on the nature of work in the new twenty-first-century economy.

Look, like many people I didn’t get through the list of objects NOT found in the labyrinth in House of Leaves. But until I read Horrorstor I never really twigged that you could get your own understanding of the labyrinth with a quick trip to your local IKEA. This is a great stuck in the labyrinth horror story with deceptively light morals to accord with the throwaway society it is written for and about. Watch out for Ruth, she’ll take you straight through the heart.
