Before the Coffee Gets Cold - The book series

If you could travel back in time, who would you want to meet? In an unassuming back alley of Tokyo, hidden in a quiet basement, sits the legendary café Café Funiculi Funicula. Here, according to local legend, customers can travel through time. But the journey comes with strict, unbending rules: you can only meet someone who has visited the café, you cannot leave your designated seat, and no matter what you do or say, the present will not change. Most importantly of all? You must return before the coffee gets cold. Across Toshikazu Kawaguchi’s multi-million-copy global bestselling series, translated from Japanese, each novel follows four poignant, interconnected visitors who take the seat to find closure, forgiveness, and hope. Lyrical, bittersweet, and profoundly comforting, the Before the Coffee Gets Cold series is a heartfelt exploration of love, grief, and the relationships that shape our lives.
