What was that saying? More money more problems? It seems like that is just it for the Baptist brothers, the more that they move up in life, trouble lurks in the shadows. Although they are ruthless in the streets and have built a successful empire, Sandy Muggs will stop at nothing to destroy them even if that means hurting the people closest to them and taking them each down one by one. 

Flame is labeled as the street’s fire man, not only because of his specialty, but because he was known for moving swiftly and never getting caught, that is until fate drops evidence in his arch enemies hands that could implicate him in the decade long mysterious house fire of his foster parents. Now, fighting for his freedom behind bars, Flame leans on his newfound love with Pia, unsure if she is strong enough to take this ride with him. With the lingering assumptions in his head, Flame finds himself gravitating towards his lawyer, Stephany Bianchi all in an attempt to get over Pia, but he soon learns that Pia has left an imprint on his mind that will be hard to erase. 

After having the love of his life, up and leave him for no apparent reason at all, Smoke finds himself in an obsessive state, desperate to find her. The constant merry-go-round that he feels they are on, has him hating Elle one day and longing for her return the next. Elle is just trying to maneuver through her hectic life by running and starting anew, after all, it is what she is good at. In her mind, all she has to do is step into herself and forget about the people in her past, but that proves to be an impossible mission as her heart still beats for a Baptist. Just as Elle finds herself adjusting to her new life, she meets a handsome stranger whose smile is not only breathtaking but deceiving. 

Kiyan and Fancy are working to reconcile their differences so that they can raise their child together. While they work through their rocky relationship, the two are met with a person from Kiyan’s past. Uncertain about this person’s intentions, Fancy warns Kiyan, but just like a Baptist, he plays by his own rules, leading him to unveil the skeletons of is past that he may not be ready for. 

In the final chapter of the Baptist saga, each brother finds himself giving into the idea of love, but this isn’t a fairytale, so with the good comes the bad, and the Baptist brothers must figure out how to beat Muggs at her own game all while extinguishing the fires from their relationships.
