ILA - The book series

Sudyuman, the son of Manu, trespasses Sharavana, the sacred grove of the Goddess Parvati. In the forbidden forest, all male beings except for Shiva, including trees and animals, are transformed into females as it is a place for Shiv and Parvati’s union. An angry Parvati curses Sudyuman and he becomes a woman, Ila and every 15 days, with the waxing and waning of the moon Sudyuman’s life tosses between being a man and a woman. Ila finds comfort in Budha, who is neither a man nor a woman. And in Manali, Vallabhi, the princess of Indrakil comes to the palace claiming to be Sudyuman’s widow, with her one and only agenda to have the power over the Kingdom.
