ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie tells the story of Breq, once a ship A.I. controlling thousands of bodies, now trapped in a single human form. After the destruction of the ship Justice of Toren, Breq seeks justice for past wrongs.

 

The story explores themes of identity, imperialism, and power as Breq navigates a complex political landscape. Set in a Radch empire that considers itself civilized, Breq's journey involves cultural clashes, moral ambiguities, and the unveiling of corruption within the empire. The narrative follows Breq as she goes to confront Anaander Mianaai, the divided Lord of the Radch, and make a decision about the captaincy of the ship Mercy of Kalr.
