Good book.

It was a great book especially from her own voice 💕

This -audio-book has just popped up on my Storytel homepage and I was intrigued to listen to it, especially after seeing the "New York Times Best Seller" text written on the cover.Neither I have heard of this actress, nor have seen any of her shows. When I started to listen, her narrating immediately clicked with me. As a person who has listened to Oprah sooo many times, I've loved the way Viola Davis speaks as her narrative reminded me of Oprah. She really overcame so many struggles in life, she is a true survivor and also a great inspiration to all people who might be bullied, oppressed, excluded from things due to their color, background, gender, sexual orientation etc. I like the fact that we wouldn't know any of her struggles if she didn't share them with us and if we only looked at her success stories.Towards the end, I could sense she was connecting beautiful things that happened later in her life to the -existence of- god. I am not fully convinced about this, but still okay

Viola’s life through her experiences, her pen and her voice is so touching!Despite all the social and economical setbacks, she has built a successful life and managed to embrace and reconcile with all the negativity that had happened to her! It is inspiring and anybody can learn at least a lesson from her life!
