Confucius (551–479 BCE) was a Chinese philosopher, teacher, and political thinker who is considered one of history's most influential figures. He lived during a time of political turmoil and dedicated his life to teaching ethics, justice, and good leadership. At the heart of his philosophy lies the importance of humaneness, respect, education, and responsibility—both within the family and in society.

After his death, his teachings were compiled in the work known as the *Analects*, which, together with other classical texts, laid the foundation for Confucianism. His ideas have shaped Chinese culture, education, and governance for over two thousand years and continue to inspire people worldwide through their focus on morality, personal development, and harmonious relationships.
