The Rest of the Best of 2024 w/ Brian Audley from Incendiary

Today we throw you a bit of a curveball as usually we speak about punk/hardcore/metal and related DIY type artists but in this episode we cover something called, Nu Metal. Don't let that put you off because Kevin Palmer from TrustCompany isn't like the others...his band rules. TrustCompany came out at a time where every major label was jumping on this craze and TrustCompany got thrust into the limelight with a major label deal, radio play, MTV spins and everything but what makes this story unique is that TrustCompany...is actually good. Kevin and I discuss the bands beginnings (and their connection to Hot Rod Circuit...no joke), what it was like getting put into huge venues and what happens when a band ends and real life begins. Kevin was a great discussion and I urge you to listen to TrustCompany...they are great.

Kevin Palmer from TrustCompany

That being said, we all need to keep on keeping on with our lives to the best that we can and that's exactly what I am trying to do. Here's another great live discussion we had at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival with two bands that have very little to do with one another...but that's what I like to do, bridge gaps. First up, we have Liz from the self proclaimed "bimbo-core" band Brat. We discussed the New Orleans scene, touring with Gwar and a lot of other things. On the flip side, I bring on Dewey & Blaythe from straight edge warriors No Cure. This band is tailor made for me so I was happy to have this discussion and we roast each other almost immediately, it's perfect. Listen to their new LP that dropped on Sharptone...it's great.

Josh James from Stick To Your Guns

This is it. I never thought that this podcast would be a vehicle for such open and inspiring discussion, but here we are. Buddy Nielsen who is the vocalist for Senses Fail who for many years, was arguably one of the largest bands in the mid-aughts comes on the show to discuss his struggles. He opens up about his addictions, sexuality and the self-destructive behavior he inflicted on himself for years. He's never discussed these issues in a public form and it's incredible to hear the stories as well as the process of moving past that season in his life. I am extremely proud to bring this compelling conversation to you and thanks again to Buddy for wanting to share his story.
