Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense team summarized its case today as attorney Marc Agnifilo said he hopes to complete his closing arguments in about three hours.
 
 While acknowledging physical abuse between Combs and Cassie Ventura, Agnifilo described their relationship as “a great modern love story.”
 
The high-profile trial of hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is nearing its end. Combs is accused of sex trafficking by force, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy in a federal indictment originally filed in September 2024. He later faced two additional superseding indictments. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Diddy Defense Hits Back, Closing Remarks Continue | Crime Alert 06.27.25

Sean "Diddy" Combs used "violence and fear" to run a criminal enterprise that allowed him to subject two former girlfriends to sex trafficking, a U.S. prosecutor said Thursday during closing arguments at the music mogul's trial. Prosecutor Christy Slavik told jurors that Combs "uses power, violence, and fear to get what he wants," adding, "He thought that his fame, wealth, and power put him above the law."
 
Slavik cited Ventura Fine’s alleged involvement in several of Combs' so-called "freak offs" as an example of the coercion he used during sexual encounters. Prosecutors argue Combs operated a criminal enterprise under a "climate of fear." The jury is expected to begin deliberations late Friday or Monday.
 
Some observers say the trial has shifted from a question of whether Combs committed the acts to whether he will be held accountable

DIDDY SUCKS UP TO JUDGE, DEMANDS CHARGES BE THROWN OUT

Iran might be the key to Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense in his sex trafficking trial. Sources say his legal team may use the growing conflict in the Middle East to cast doubt on the federal case against the disgraced rap mogul. The defense may invoke the recent unrest during their closing arguments.
 
Additionally, sources allege that Diddy's attorneys believe prosecutors have not met the burden of proof required for conviction. They may even choose to rest their case without calling any witnesses after the prosecution concludes, as both sides prepare for closing arguments scheduled for Thursday.
 
Iran recently launched missiles at U.S. bases in the Middle East in retaliation for an earlier U.S. strike under former President Trump. It remains to be seen how the prosecution will respond if the defense uses this geopolitical context as part of its strategy

Sean Combs trial latest: Diddy looks away as jury shown explicit videos | Crime Alert 6AM 06.24.25

Sean Diddy Combs' unsettling response to watching 'freak-off' tapes in a private part of court catches the attention of those around him in court.
 
The rap mogul allegedly licks his lips and rubs his hands together after watching a 'freak-off' tape. The disgraced music mogul asks for extra time to watch tapes of his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, having sex with male escorts while Combs watched. Diddy's defense lawyers say the videos prove the rapper was having consensual sex rather than committing crimes. 
 
As Diddy's trial comes to a close, he grants full access to his biggest Hollywood supporter, Kanye West, who is supporting the disgraced rapper. During Kanye's first appearance, the "gold digger" rapper was escorted to an overflow room. Combs then adds West to his guest list and reports suggest West may attend the trial again as the defense presents their case.
 
The jury could start deliberating as early as Friday, Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyer, Teny Geragos, tells the judge. Geragos says the defense and prosecution will each take a minimum of four hours delivering closing arguments which may begin as early Thursday.

Diddy Trial Update: Prosecution Nears End | Crime Alert 6AM 06.23.25

Sean "Diddy' Combs federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial resumes after an expected juror illness, Wednesday and Juneteenth Holiday, Thursday. After this two day pause, the government's case winds down as they bring on their last witness, former assistant to Diddy, Brendan Paul and Diddy's alleged "drug mule." 
 
Paul is arrested in March 2024 right around the same time Combs' homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by federal authorities. Paul's arrest consists of coke and weed-related charges at the Miami-Opa Locka Airport that March. The former assistant's charges were ultimately dismissed after he completed a pretrial diversion program. Paul was described as a "mule" for Combs in a 2024 federal lawsuit against the mogul by producer Lil Rod. "He acquires, and distributes, Mr. Combs Drugs, and Guns," the suit reads.
 
On the stand, Paul tells jurors he was more than just an assistant, he was Diddy’s go-to man for drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, MDMA (aka “tusi”), ecstasy, prescription pills, and high-grade weed. When asked about his relationship with Combs, Paul says " it is complicated." Paul testifies to working between 80 and 100 hours a week and the cocaine found on his person at the time of his 2024 arrest was left over from his cleaning of Diddy’s room. Paul claims he personally witnessed the use of coke, ketamine, ecstasy, weed, and more by his former boss, Diddy.
