About Our Guest:

Tony Perrey, Director of Audio and co owner of Windmill Lane Recording Studios.

Tony has been in the studio business since 1992, setting up a small midi pre production studio. The studios and clients grew bigger until he and his partners Naomi Moore and Aidan Alcock acquired Windmill Lane Studios in 2009.

Tony is also the head of Pulse College, whose audio faculty is also located within the iconic building.Tony was one of the original team to develop the Pro Tools world wide .

Ever since we announced the new feature Avid have been working on for a Pro Tools 2019 release we have seen speculation as to when we would see the first release of Pro Tools in 2019. Would it be 2019.1? No, so would it be 2019.2? No, surely it’s going to be a 2019.3 release and March came and went without a Pro Tools 2019 release. 

Rather than us speculating as to what has happened,we asked Avid to explain the challenges they must have been experiencing and we have an interview with François Quereuil who is Avid’s director of audio product management to get the inside story straight from the horse’s mouth to find out what has caused the delays with the first Pro Tools release of 2019.
