Hey dear listeners! Just a quick note—this episode of Runners FM is in Swedish. Up until now, all our episodes have been in English, so we know this might come as a surprise. We truly appreciate all of you tuning in, and while some episodes will now be in Swedish, we’ll continue to release content in English as well. Since Swedish is our native language, we’re excited to share a bit more of ourselves this way. Thanks for being with us on this journey!
In this episode, we’re joined by our good friend and fellow runner, Daniel Pärmenäs. Over the past few years, Daniel has grown into a focused and formidable marathon runner—but like many athletes, his journey hasn’t been without its challenges.
We dive into his impressive 2:40 finish at the Berlin Marathon, a performance that—looking back—sparked an intense, and at times obsessive, relationship with training. This eventually led to a long period of forced rest due to overtraining, as Daniel worked to understand what was really happening with his body.
He shares his story with honesty and clarity, taking us through the highs and lows of recovery. We also hear Daniel’s vivid account of the Boston Marathon and his mindset as he prepares for the upcoming Stockholm Marathon.
