Taylor is joined by Pablo Maurer and Sam Stejskal of The Athletic to discuss their recent article "Disconnect: as MLS teams back social causes, owners' money often fights them." It's an excellent article that I'd encourage everyone to read, and they go over the basic findings of their research and the more interesting bits and pieces they uncovered. There's also some interesting insight into the process of creating such a highly-detailed, collaborative effort, the reaction to MLS PR when the initial calls are made, and their favorite phrase ever said to them by an MLS employee.
