FBI agent Cookie James is enjoying her extended leave from the agency on Secret Seal Isle, managing her quaint inn, and flirting with the oh-so sexy-handyman, Dylan Creed … until her 60-year-old mother goes skinny dipping and is almost drowned by a corpse. 

A phone call to the sheriff should mean the end of Cookie’s involvement, but when it’s clear the sheriff has no interest in the investigation, Cookie calls in reinforcements - her ex-partner Hunter O’Neil. 

Suddenly it’s like old times while the pair questions the residents of Secret Seal Isle. Except it’s not. Now she has both Hunter and Dylan vying for her attention, a wayward hippy mother, and a potential killer on the loose. With her love life heating up, her mother lighting up, and all signs pointing to the most unlikely suspect, Cookie does the only thing she knows to do - focus on solving the case.

But when Cookie’s meddling mother and her concerned best friend interrupt Hunter's plans for an evening tryst, Cookie turns to the one thing she does best - solving the crime.

While her sexy handyman, Dylan Creed, is uncovering more than either of them bargained for, Cookie is once again left to solve another murder - and the tangle of her love life.

That is, until their relationship is thrown off course when Hunter arrives to help. Cookie discovers her former partner isn’t ready to let her go. With relationships under fire and a body on ice, Cookie needs to solve another murder and find a way to save Valentine’s Day.

Sweet Corpse of Mine

The Miss Dumpy parade is back in all its glory on Secret Seal Isle, and with Rain in charge, the residents are getting more than they bargained for. When the festivities are temporarily delayed, Cookie discovers Rain’s not the only one with junk in her trunk. A dead body is found in the classic automobile Rain commandeered for the inn’s float. And when the corpse is identified as a man with ties to the DeMasi mob, it appears Cookie’s past may have finally caught up with her.

But Cookie’s not the only one who is threatened by the murder investigation. The new deputy-sheriff, June Loon, arrests Rain and her friends for the crime. It’s clear Secret Seal Isle is no longer a safe place for Cookie, but leaving the sleepy island town could also mean losing Dylan, the man she loves. With a mother in chains, a killer on the loose, and her heart on the line, Cookie must solve the case to save it all.
