Cool and confusing in equal parts, probably worth a reread :)

Loosely built on Glas Hotel, but with one notable change in the time line. Excellently composed science fiction.

Beautifuly crafted, the book reminded me of “Cloud Cuckoo land”. The book is intriguing and thought provoking, with most contemporary themes about post-pandemic society and technological advances.

It's so hard to pull off a good time-travel plotline, but this one does such a good job in a way I haven't seen before. Simple and complicated all at once. I went from intrigued to depressed to joyful and impressed all in the space of this short novel and my heart feels light and good. The pandemic discussion was a bit hard to go through with all its connections to covid-19 being a recent thing still. The collective trauma a pandemic inflicts on so many levels, I could feel it like a stone of dread in my chest but somehow the book kept holding my hand and I ended up feeling okay. In short: slightly triggering and very well written. Recommended read when one's in a strong headspace.
