Powerful Parashurama

Parashurama, also referred to as Rama Jamadagnya, Rama Bhargava and Veerarama, is the sixth incarnation among the Dashavatara of the god Vishnu in Hinduism. He is believed to be one of the Chiranjeevis (Long-Lived Ones or Immortal Ones), who will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga to be the guru of Vishnu's tenth and last incarnation, Kalki. He carried a number of traits, which included not only aggression, warfare and valor, but also serenity, prudence and patience. He was Born to Jamadagni and Renuka, Parashurama was foretold to appear at a time when overwhelming evil prevailed on the earth. The Kshatriya class, with weapons and power, had begun to abuse their power, take what belonged to others by force and tyrannise people. He corrected the cosmic equilibrium by destroying the Kshatriya warriors twenty-one times. He is married to Dharani, an incarnation of Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu. He is present in the Ramayana due to the conflict with Rama over Lord Shiva's broken bow. He is in the Mahabharata as the Guru of Bhisma, Drona, Rukmi and Karna. பரசுராமர் அல்லது பரசுராம பார்கவர் என்பவர் இந்து புராணங்களில் விஷ்ணுவின் ஆறாவது அவதாரம் ஆவார். இவரது காலம் திரேத யுகம் ஆகும். இவர் ஜமதக்கினி - ரேணுகா இணையரின் மகன் ஆவார். பரசு என்றால் கோடாரி என்று பொருள். இவர் கடுந்தவம் செய்து சிவ பெருமானிடம் இருந்து ஒரு கோடாலியைப் பெற்றார். அதனால் இவர் பரசு-ராமர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். தன் தந்தை ஜமதக்கினி முனிவர் வளர்த்த தேவலோகப் பசுவை கவர்ந்து சென்ற கார்த்தவீரிய அருச்சுனனை கொன்றவர். மேலும் சத்திரிய மன்னர்களின் 21 தலைமுறைகளைக் கருவறுக்க சபதம் பூண்டவர். கடல் கொந்தளித்த போது இவர் அதனை அடக்கி கொங்கணக் கடற்கரைப் பகுதிகளைக் காத்தார் என்பதும் தொன்ம நம்பிக்கை. இவரது சீடர்களில் புகழ்பெற்றவர்கள் பீஷ்மர், துரோணர் மற்றும் கர்ணன் ஆவர். இவரது கதை இராமாயணம் மற்றும் மகாபாரதம் ஆகியவற்றில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்தகைய சிறப்பு மிக்க பரசுராமர் பற்றி பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் கு.ஞானசம்பந்தன் விரிவாக விவரிக்கிறார்.
