The goal of this book is to help young people and their parents to learn more about investing in blue chip dividend paying stocks. There are two ways to make money off stocks: Capital Appreciation and Dividends.

Some companies, such as Canadian banks have consistently paid their dividends for over 150 years. As dividends increase the share price typically follows. We try to make this process easy to understand.

Many young people feel like the cost of living today keeps them from enjoying the benefits their parents and grandparents had: a house, two cars, money for vacations, and a comfortable retirement with a pension plan. Even with a university degree and a good paying job, it may seem impossible to get ahead financially. Most can't keep up with inflation. The cards are stacked against them, right?
