ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

"Gods of Jade and Shadow" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia is a historical fantasy novel inspired by Maya mythology. The story follows Casiopea Tun, a young woman who unwittingly releases Hun-Kamé, an ancient god of death, from his prison.

Bound together by a shard of Hun-Kamé's being now residing within Casiopea, they embark on a quest to recover his missing body parts and reclaim his rightful place as Lord of Xibalba.
