For sixth-grader Dolby Hart, the buck stops here--quite literally. For most of his life, Dolby was a nobody. His father left him. His mother also mysteriously abandoned him. But Dolby rises to discover that he has unmatched worth and ability as a half-tail--one who can communicate with whitetail deer. They were always his favorite animal, but now they are his friends--friends who introduce him to the Windmaster and challenge him to view God differently.
