Pardidoe

Is it better to spend your life moving from place to place, forever having new adventures, meeting interesting people and accepting new challenges, or would it be a curse -- to be always unrooted and adrift, like a wandering spirit far from home? Born in the Dutch colony of New Guinea and raised in the Netherlands, Abraham de Kock spent his professional life travelling the world and working for the UN, rising to the position of acting country director of the World Food Programme in North Korea. Between fascinating tales from far flung corners of the globe, Abraham reflects on the highs and lows of humanitarian work, as well as the impact that a life always on the move has had on himself and the people around him. Abraham asks, are the adventures and stories worth the price of being a lost and wandering soul?
