A Doctor in the XIVth Army

A personal account from a medic in the Fourteenth Army—also known as the “Forgotten Army”—during the 1944/45 campaign in Burma during World War II.

Charles Evans records his passage from idyllic youth, fresh from Oxford in 1939, into the harsh reality of a junior doctor in Burma.
