Counting His Heartbeats

Jawaan Young is a man who can make a joke out of any situation. Yet, beneath the surface of his humor is a mask splintering on every side. Suffering from abandonment and rejection, why would he consider showcasing his scars? Yet, one spontaneous decision causes him to question whether he’s willing to accept certain risks.

Zurmani Coates is no stranger to heartache and broken promises. In fact, her tears are what led her to end a four-year mistake. Desperate to overcome the trauma of a painful secret, she finds herself at the one place she should avoid… the hospital. One awkward exchange with a handsome stranger makes her question whether she’s come to the right place in search of solace.

Counting His Heartbeats is a tale of overcoming pain through love when the odds have been stacked against you.

This is book three of the Baxter County Blues, a three-book series. Each installment will have a complete story for three men whose lives have been everything but roses and the women tasked with loving them through their challenges.
