Email Mail marketing is not dead. Despite the whining of some marketers. Mostly the ones who concentrate on Social media. And view that as the be all/end all of mondern marketing.

In their enthusiasm for social, these marketers forget that nothing creates trust and rapport like email marketing does. And without trust and rapport - there are no sales.

But, sadly, like many forms of mass communication, email marketing has gone from being a novelty, to an overused and abused marketing tool in many instances.

So much so - that many people will instantly delete a mail from someone they're not familiar with. Generally a good practice, But could be a disaster if it's a notification you've just won the lottery.
