Jack is in a state of despair and frustration as the Dagger of Vitality, the only way to lift his curse, is gone. He's convinced that Erikson is the one who has taken the dagger and destroyed it. He's determined to take her down with him before the curse kills him.

Nyala, Briar, Luke, and Zach are shocked and confused by the recent events and the power Erikson seems to possess. They're determined to find another way to lift the curse, but Jack is consumed by his need for revenge.
