Nibsy's Christmas

"Nibsy's Christmas " is the title of a little volume of three stories by Jacob A. Riis, the author of "How the Other Half Lives" and of "The Children of the Poor." These stories are based upon the author's observations of real life in the tenement-house districts, and derive their power and their pathos from the simplicity and fidelity with which he has portrayed the characters and painted the scenes.
