#1 The American government was invented by the founders, and it was designed to be extremely inefficient. It was meant to restrain itself from intruding on the private lives of Americans, who were to pursue their own happiness in the Declaration of Independence.

#2 The American founding is designed to make certain that there is no unbridgeable distinction between loving America and loving your home. The two must be kept separate, for our natural inclination is to love our home.

#3 The Great Seal is the most important American icon. It was created by Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin, who were all members of the committee that created the Declaration of Independence. The eagle on the front of the seal represents the strength of America.

#4 The seal of the United States is a representation of the American people, and it symbolizes that the American people are not just a concept but a product of a people.
