#1 I was a born fuck-giver. I gave my fucks liberally all throughout my childhood and adolescence. I tackled numerous projects, tasks, and standardized tests in order to prove myself worthy of respect and admiration from my family, friends, and even casual acquaintances.

#2 I realized that I didn’t care about small things that annoyed me. I RSVP'd no to a couple of after-work mixers, unfriended some irritating people on Facebook, and refused to suffer through another person's reading of your play.

#3 I began to feel better as I stopped giving so many fucks. I started not giving a fuck about things that didn’t make me happy or improve my life, and this allowed me to focus on the things that did.
