#1 Vickie was a happy and well-liked teenager, with a strict curfew and no strangers allowed in her car, who spent her free time at the roller rink or the Corral with her friends.

#3 On the night of the murders, Vickie Zielinski was walking with her best friend, Barbara Nixon, to do their bookkeeping homework together. They met an older boy named Donald Hommell along the way, who would later be accused of being the killer.

#4 The next morning, the Zielinskis went out to find their daughter. They searched in circles, starting small, then making progressively larger circuits of the neighborhood. At the point where Ramsey ended and Mahwah began, they noticed a scarf lying in the mud.
