#2 Maharishi spoke about his teacher with great devotion and respect, calling him Guru Dev which means divine teacher. He said that pure consciousness is an infinite reservoir of creativity and intelligence. He described his method of experiencing and living pure consciousness as a natural, simple, and do-it-yourself mental technique that gives deep rest while you remain awake and alert.

#3 I experienced my mind settling down to a place I had never imagined possible. No thoughts, no images, no fear, no boundaries, no concerns – just pure being, pure deep inner silence, inner peace, but with unrestricted wakefulness.

#4 I was asked to take the most unexpected responsibility after I finished my medical and scientific training at Harvard and MIT. I was to represent Maharishi and the Vedic tradition to make the teaching available for the benefit of all.
