Lord Vishnu The Sustainer

Upon the serpent of time He reclines,

Dreaming the cosmos in rhythm and signs;

From His navel the lotus blooms bright,

Creation awakens in radiant light.

The conch resounds with dharma’s decree,

It calls the spirit to truth’s melody;

Symbol of sound that preserves the way,

It guides the seeker through night and day.

The discus spins with radiant flame,

It cuts through illusion, it ends the game;

Symbol of mind that conquers the night,

It clears the darkness with wisdom’s light.

The mace He holds is strength of the soul,

It steadies the seeker, it makes him whole;

Symbol of will that guards the flame,

It shelters dharma in Vishnu’s name.

The lotus He bears is purity’s sign,

It blooms in the mud yet remains divine;

Symbol of spirit untouched by strife,

It shows the seeker the path of life.

Garuda soars with wings of might,

He carries the Lord through day and night;

Symbol of thought that rises above,

It conquers illusion with truth and love.

Lakshmi beside Him shines with grace,

She nurtures the world in time and space;

Symbol of fortune, compassion, and care,

She shelters the seeker through trials rare.

Vedanta reveals that Vishnu sustains,

He guards the dharma through joy and pains;

Symbol of love that preserves the way,

He guides the spirit through night and day.

His avatars descend when dharma falls,

To answer the suffering of mortal calls;

Symbol of truth that takes many forms,

He shelters the soul through cosmic storms.

Yet Vedanta teaches the truth profound,

That Vishnu’s dream is illusion bound;

The Self alone endures alway,

Beyond the cycles of night and day.

Thus Vishnu stands as symbol of love,

Preserver of dharma, grace from above;

He shows the seeker compassion’s span,

But points beyond to the timeless Brahman.
