The word “mindset” is coined from two English words as obviously indicated, the word “mind” and the word “set. ” According to philosophy, the mind is the non-material substance or set of processes in which consciousness, perception, rationality affectivity, judgment, thinking, and will are based. In order words, the human mind is the site of rational thought and all other thinking. To set something means to position it or place in something.

Therefore, mindset can be defined as the established sense of thinking of a person. Pay close attention to these definitions of mindset. A person’s usual attitude or mental state is his or her mindset or a person’s way of thinking and their opinions or an attitude, disposition, or mood or the ideas and attitudes with which a person approaches a situation, especially when these are seen as being difficult to alter or the established set of attitudes held by someone.
