The Purgatorium

Healing can be deadly.

Seventeen-year-old Daphne Janus thinks she’s escaping to a private island retreat with her best friend.

Instead, she’s been admitted to The Purgatorium—an experimental “suicide therapy” program where fear is used as treatment, grief becomes performance art, and nothing is quite what it seems.

The doctor calls it living art.

Daphne calls it dangerous.

As staged hauntings blur into real threats and island legends echo through the cliffs, Daphne can’t tell whether she’s part of a therapeutic exercise—or trapped in something far more sinister.

Then there’s Stan.

Quiet. Watchful. Unpredictable.

He seems to understand the darkness she’s trying to outrun. But on an island built on manipulation, trusting someone might be the most dangerous choice of all.

As secrets unravel and a body is discovered, Daphne must decide who to believe—before the program meant to save her becomes the thing that destroys her.

In this gripping YA romance-thriller, survival means facing the truth . . . even when it’s the last thing you want to see.

Perfect for readers who love:

• Psychological thrillers

• Dark YA romance

• Island mysteries

• Grief and trauma narratives

• Twisty, unreliable tension
