The Reading Circle

Renowned crime writer Arne Dahlgren has just finished his fifteenth manuscript at his house in Glommen. For years, he's relied on a circle of eight test readers who, until now, have never known about each other's existence.

When what initially appears to be a tragic accident is reclassified as murder, suspicion falls on the author himself. But when a second killing occurs, prosecutor Ylva Isaksson – who happens to be one of the eight readers – begins to see a disturbing pattern emerging. Is she next on the list?

Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Kajsa Rudolfsson and her colleagues in Falkenberg's serious crimes unit are struggling with a new boss who's nothing like their much-loved former chief Raúl Morales – and who seems to have an agenda of his own. A gripping tale of secrets, betrayal, and deadly obsession.
