Each community has super special and different ways of living life. Every family and cultural group has special celebrations, vibrant dishes, and unique beliefs that make them their own. Let’s honor the traditions we practice in our own communities and share them with others. We should celebrate these traditions because not only are they important parts of our lives, but we can also use the opportunity to teach those who are curious about our special customs!

Taking responsibility for our feelings, and the reactions that come with them, is an important skill to practice. It is especially important for having healthy relationships, or when we’re in a situation that makes us experience big feelings, like anger or sadness. It’s okay if we don’t react in the best way. We can use that interaction as a lesson to do better next time. We can remember to take time to reflect and regulate our emotions before reacting.

Being kind is simple. It can look like reminding friends of how smart they are, or cleaning up after a family dinner. Let’s choose to do and say caring things for others.
