Taking responsibility for our feelings, and the reactions that come with them, is an important skill to practice. It is especially important for having healthy relationships, or when we’re in a situation that makes us experience big feelings, like anger or sadness. It’s okay if we don’t react in the best way. We can use that interaction as a lesson to do better next time. We can remember to take time to reflect and regulate our emotions before reacting.

Being kind is simple. It can look like reminding friends of how smart they are, or cleaning up after a family dinner. Let’s choose to do and say caring things for others.

Having a routine is important to building responsibility and can be fun! It’s our job to make and stick to our plan for ourselves. We can stay happy, healthy, and thriving by keeping up with our habits. So stay consistent and confident–we’ve got this!

Just as it’s important to rely on others, it's also great to know that we can rely on ourselves and make choices that make us happy. Embracing our self-reliance means finding our way and exploring life with courage. We can be patient while we practice our independence.
