This week on Face the Nation, divisions between Congress and the White House grow on crucial conflicts, both foreign and domestic. Breaking overnight, Secretary of State Rubio and other administration officials are in Geneva, meeting with European allies about the administration's 28 point plan to end the war in Ukraine. But does the proposal favor Russia over Ukraine? And what if President Zelenskyy doesn't accept it? We get the latest from the new Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S., Olga Stefanishnya. Back home, a dangerous war of words has erupted with Democrats who served urging members of the military to side with the Constitution--and the law--when it comes to following commands from the president. The president responded saying those members in the video were "traitors" showing "seditious behavior." We cover it all with two Democrats who are facing threats of political violence because of their efforts, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and Colorado Democratic Congressman Jason Crow. That, plus some tough news for the president when it comes to how Americans think he's handling the economy. Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul weighs in on the path forward.

The shutdown is over, but the problems that led to the crisis persist, and politicians are scrambling to find ways to make prices affordable for Americans. President Trump is testing ideas to help consumers, including potential tariff dividends and fifty year mortgages Those may be a tough sell, but Mr. Trump did move to roll back tariffs on some food imports not widely produced in the U.S. One price spike that can't be fixed by easing tariffs: health care premiums, especially for those covered under Obamacare. We hear from those offering solutions for that fix and more with two members of the House Problem Solvers Caucus, New York Democrat Tom Suozzi and Nebraska Republican Don Bacon, along with Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy and New Hampshire Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen. And, as we move into a new era of warfare, what does our military need for readiness? We talk with the Secretary of the Army, Dan Driscoll.
