In recent years, we have seen an increase in the frequency and severity of disasters, from major hurricanes and floods to wildfires and pandemics. The impacts of these events can be devastating, not only in terms of physical damage but also in terms of human and economic costs. Building disaster-resilient communities are more critical than ever in light of these events.
