The following book is a collection of poems written by John Wilson. He was a Scottish writer best-remembered for serving as the professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. This book, 'The Isle of Palms', was authored during his time in his estate at Windermere called Elleray, where he spent four years building, boating, wrestling, shooting, fishing, walking and amusing himself. Featured titles to be found inside the pages of this book include 'Hymn to Spring', 'Troutbeck Chapel', 'The Fallen Oak', and 'The Nameless Stream'.
