"Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, is often in news for his direct and unfearful statements. In the past he has often spoken about Media, Government, Democracy, institution and even the duties of the judiciary. However, today, the CJI took media to task and said that Kangaroo court are being run by media and that is taking our democracy backwards. In scathing remarks over the state of media in the country, CJI said that several media organizations are running a kangaroo courts on issues even experienced judges find difficult to decide on”. He also said conducting media trial on sub-judice matters is making the job of judges difficult and adversely affecting the justice delivery system.
