Nicolet Steemers

Dutch author Nicolet Steemers was born in Hengelo (Overijssel), studied guitar at the conservatory, and found her way into writing through translating plays and working in journalism. She writes suspense novels and audio series.

Her latest book, *Niemand verdwijnt drie keer* (No One Disappears Three Times), is the first installment in a new detective series featuring the strong-willed Isabel Clement.

The two seasons of *Ellen Holms* are also detective stories; they are available to both read and listen to on Storytel in languages including English, Swedish, Danish, Turkish, Korean, and Arabic—and, of course, Dutch.

You can also listen to or read *Zachte heelmeesters* (Gentle Healers), the story of Mila, who returned a changed person months after her sudden disappearance.
