Just then, the famous Heroes of the current age happen to return from their own journey to the Western Continent. Unbeknownst to these two groups, Deramis will soon be plunged into a commotion as the Apostles enact the next part of their plot!

Even Melfina proves powerless against her. Their entire party brings everything to bear against a fighter said to be the pinnacle of fighting prowess, but she still manages to get away.

Kelvin, of course, just can’t let it go! He resolves to chase her down, even if he has to go to Abyssland, a place occupied by demons, which most people simply referred to as “hell”!

Namely, the ghost of the previous Demon Lord, Gustav, has been witnessed roaming what remains of his former domain. Kelvin decides to go check it out with Ange, but much to their disappointment, all they find in the ruins of Grebarelka is a golem. Needless to say, they’re quite surprised when they later return with Sera on a visit to her hometown and discover Bell Baal, an Apostle, waiting for them!

At the same time, Kelvin and Melfina face Iris Deramilius, also known as Arbitrator of the First Seat, in the deepest part of the Cradle. On one side is Kelvin, the battle junkie who wants nothing more than to fight powerful opponents, while on the other is Iris, who places blind faith in her goddess, Elearis. Is there any other choice but for them to cross blades?!

Though some of the Dragon Kings are already in the group and the locations of yet others are known, the Wind and Lightning Dragon Kings in particular remain elusive. In order to catch the various Dragon Kings who have scattered throughout the world, Kelvin and his friends set off on their final journey. (Or is it...?)

Meanwhile, the remnants of the Apostles are making their own fell moves, from DarkMel destroying the empire of Rizea to plans set up by the fifth seat, “Analyzer” Riold. And at last, the second seat, “Selector,” finally breaks his silence and shows himself...

Black Summoner: Volume 13

At last, the final confrontation is upon us. Having finished their preparations, Kelvin’s force musters in Toraj before setting out to take on what could be the final boss! With help from each nation and all the Dragon Kings in tow, Kelvin seems to stand a decent chance with his plan to take down the enemy battleship, the Elpis.

But he also has to contend with the final boss, DarkMel, as well as her powerful minions: Tristan, Riold, and “Sachiel.” Tristan seems to have a new trick up his sleeve, while Riold and Sachiel have yet to reveal their true strength! That, and an unknown amount of angel “monsters” accompany other surprises in store. How will Kelvin and his party fare?

The battle against DarkMel for the fate of the world has reached its climax and the action is heating up as Kelvin and his friends struggle to deal with her latest and most impressive transformation yet. Do they even stand a chance of winning against such a powerful opponent? And after everything is said and done, what will happen to DarkMel and the once-great goddess? The stakes are high, and it’s anyone’s guess as to whether Kelvin will have to make his way through the world without half of the love of his life—or if he will soon be too dead to care.

Peacetime continues, and Kelvin is just about to go stir crazy when a certain problem falls into his lap—a family problem. Rion wants to go to school, which would drive Kelvin and Gerard absolutely mad with worry and loneliness. Not only that, but in the course of things, she manages to involve DarkMel and Bell in the plot as well! What awaits the girls in the Academy of Lumiest? And how will Kelvin and Gerard fare without them?

It’s finally time for Rion, DarkMel, and Bell to have their fill of school life! With many new and returning characters to make friends with, how will these meetings shape their time at school?

But the girls’ enrollment has come with several goals and caveats. When a Divine Pillar goes missing, it raises the question: whodunnit? And how do they prevent the Divine Pillar from wreaking too much havoc? Also, how will the girls handle fulfilling their principal’s request to forge a new road without discrimination for the school?

Meanwhile, Kelvin is regrettably stuck on the outside, having to prepare for a future match with the very school his daughter and little sister are attending. How will he deal with all that, to say nothing of his intense case of empty-nest syndrome? All this and more in volume 17!

Things are heating up in Lumiest as the exhibition match reaches its climax! But when fallen angels with a mysterious motive make their move, what will become of the event?

Both DarkMel and Kelvin seem to be in danger as the fallen angels seem to have their sights set on the pair. The angels also seem more than willing to take hostages, so how will our heroes cope?

The enemy’s plans don’t just end with the exhibition match, though! What are they really after? What will be their next target? Either way, Kelvin’s definitely not going to be bored!
